How To Make A To-Do List
HOW TO MAKE A TO-DO LISTFollow me on Instagram and Message me if needed
Mark The Most Important Task Of The Day
- Firstly write the most important thing to do today and focus on completing the main task first for eg-completing chapter No.9 in science for the upcoming exam
Prioritize Your Time
- You should prioritize your time accordingly because a chapter might take more time than you imagine or the work you want to do like completing the PPT for the meeting is highly important if that is like the day after tomorrow but if it is given for a longer deadline you can do other things like learning new skills or side hustle eg- Youtube or a Website etc.
To Write Second Most Important Task Of The Day or Week
- Then you can write down the task that is also important but not as important as the 1 one for eg. spending time with your family is very important but if the exam or deadline is approaching then the task that is more important is the one exam or something that is important for your life choose wisely
Using Pomodoro Technique To Stay Focus
- You can use the Pomodoro technique to get more time and even stay focus which is very important in daily life I will soon be posting a Time Table that I follow and has helped me a lot you can choose however you want and even change the timings if needed
Use Journal/Notebook Else Then an App
- Try to do it on a paper rather than an app It looks better on paper and you might even get to flex and might remember the tasks easily rather than using your phone to check and then procrastinate for an hour or two
Limit Yourself to 5 and 6 Tasks Daily
- Don't put too much on the table limit your self with around 5-6 tasks cause you might not even complete even 4 tasks and while checking the To-Do List you might feel down for not completing the tasks you allowed yourself and fell down for the another day
Keep Your Goal Separate From Objectives
- In a perfect world, the tasks you get done each day will be in pursuit of your bigger goals. If not, why are you wasting your time doing them? You need to know what your goals are, but you don't need to write them on your to-do list.
Write down your goals and objectives somewhere else. If your To-Do list has a note section, put them there, If you keep a journal, you might write down your goals and revise them quarterly or annually. Refer to your goals from time to time, but don't let them distract you from the specific things you need to do today.
Look at Your To-Do List Often
An effective to-do list guides you throughout your day. Look at it at the beginning of the week to plan your time. Look at it at the beginning of the day to revise your plan for the day. Look at it after lunch so you know what else you need to focus on for the rest of the day.
When you feel lost in a task or need a break from it, look at your to-do list for something little and easy (a less demanding task that doesn't require high focus) that you can tackle in the meantime.
The more you look at your list, the more you'll trust it
I think it's good enough but not yet professional
